What
else do I need to consider?
All conversions
will require a 36-1 or 60-2 trigger wheel and crank sensor.
If you
want to run wasted-spark ignition on your engine, a suitable
coil pack will be required. A MAP sensor / throttle position
sensor are also available from Canems.
On the
fueling side, an injection pump and tank (and possibly swirlpot)
will be required. Minimal recommended other sensors would
be coolant and air temperature.
Semi-assembled
wiring looms are available to get you started, and we hope
to be introducing some finished looms in the future.
Do
you do a complete kit?
The Canems systems are designed
to fit any vehicle, so at the moment we're unable to offer
any complete 'bolt-on' conversion kits. The simplest injection
conversions are 'retro-fit' conversions. Examples of this
would be the Ford Pinto or A-series engine. Factory-fitted
injection systems can be bolted on to your existing engine.
Alternatively, if your engine has a Weber inlet manifold
available, you can use Jenvey throttle bodies for a quick
and easy solution. Failing that, you could fabricate your
own inlet manifold and injection setup for motorcycle throttle
bodies or even adapt an existing induction system for your
vehicle.
Where
do I source parts?
If
you need to help in finding components for your conversion,
get in touch. We can source all components on a new or second-hand
basis, along with all wiring accessories and connectors
if you're building a wiring loom yourself.
Can
I get more help?
More
help is available in the downloadable installation guides
- click on 'Installation' at the top of the page. These
guides should tell you everything you need to know including
how the systems work, sourcing components and getting the
system up-and-running
